Do I need to be a member of SCI-BC to post an ad?

No, anyone can post an ad. If you are interested in becoming a member, you can find out more on our Become a Member page.

Do I have to register to use the Accessible Employment BC site? 

You do not have to register to view listings. However, to post your ad or listing and view the resume database on SCI-BC’s Accessible Employment BC’s site, you must complete the simple registration process.

How do I register?

Go to the SCI-BC Accessible Employment BC site and click on “Register/Log In” in the upper right corner, and follow the directions. Your login details will be emailed to you for confirmation so make sure to use a valid email address. Once registration is complete, you will be able to submit your ads. How do I attach a photo with my post?

Scroll down to the bottom of your ad listing and look for the “Add Image” area. To insert an image, simply click the “Choose File” button to browse for the image you wish to upload an insert into your listing. Optionally, fill in the “Alt Text” field to give your image a description. You are able to attach 3 images for each ad listing, each no more than 500kb in size.

How do I manage my account?

Once you have registered, an account area will be available to you in the system. To access your account area, click the Register/Log In  link in the upper right corner of your browser window. Your dashboard will allow you to edit your profile information, such as email address and password, as well as manage any ads you have on the system.

How do I post an ad?

How do I edit my ad?

Log in using your username and password and click on the post you wish to edit. Click the edit button to make your changes.

How do I remove my ad?

Log in using your username and password. To remove your post, click “edit” on the post you wish to delete and use the remove or delete post button.

How long will my ad stay on the Accessible Employment BC site? 

All ads are removed from the Accessible Employment BC site in 60 days. You may relist your ad after this time.

Is it safe to post my ad on the Accessible Employment BC site?

Anyone can read and post an ad on the SCI-BC Accessible Employment BC site.  The internet is loaded with scammers. Use caution when conducting business on the internet. SCI-BC is not responsible for the accuracy of the ads. Be advised the SCI-BC is in no way responsible or liable for any negative consequences that might arise from transactions pertaining to the ads posted on this site. . Also SCI-BC will only use your contact information for the purpose of the Accessible Employment BC.

What are the posting guidelines?

  • No profanity (that includes using $@#* between letters) vulgarity or rude behavior. We expect that people using the Accessible Employment BC site will be polite and conduct business in a respectful manner. People who will not abide by these guidelines will be suspended from posting either temporarily or permanently. *Posts may be edited for content or removed at the discretion of the moderator.

What are the Terms of Use of the Accessible Employment BC site? 

Spinal Cord Injury BC, its affiliates, officers, agents and other partners and employees are not liable or responsible for any content provided by it’s users, external links or other third parties to the SCI-BC Accessible Employment BC site. .

The contributions of third parties do not necessarily represent the view or opinions of SCI-BC. Users can be held liable for any illegal or prohibited content they provide to the site, including among other things, infringing, defamatory or offensive materials.

What happens if I forget my password?

Click on “Lost your password?” on the Login screen. Enter in your username or the email address you used to set up your account and a new password will be emailed to you.

Why was my post removed?

The Accessible Employment BC site is moderated and subject to interpretation of the posting guidelines. If the moderator feels that your post is inflammatory, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate, it is subject to removal.
