Under the supervision of the Arena and Operations Manager, the Arena Operator/Outdoor Facility Maintainer monitors the daily operation of the facility and sports fields’ maintenance as required, maintains grounds and playing area of indoor/outdoor facilities. He/She operates indoor/outdoor equipment as required, perform checks and minor maintenance on equipment and assists with employee training and provide in-service to staff on proper use of equipment logs.
College diploma or certificate in Facility Management, Resource Management, or a related field and some years experience in a related field
High school diploma AND several years experience in a related field
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
Valid driver’s license class G (Province)
Provincial Recreation Facilities Association Certified Ice Technician or equivalent Language requirement: English Essential
In operating and maintaining ice rink and outdoor sports facilities equipment
In resource administration
In monitoring and training employees
In providing customer service
